Olivia Thompson

This is Ms. Thompson’s sixth year with the Tiger Belles. This will be her fifth year as head director. She comes to us from Salt Lake City, Utah where she attended Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts and was a member of their elite dance conservatory. Her conservatory took every top honor and performed and trained with world-renowned choreographers in Utah, Los Angeles, and New York. She was then able to live her dream on the 74th line of the World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes. Ms. Thompson was featured in the Rangerette documentary “Sweethearts of the Gridiron” where she was filmed as a “hopeful” during the Rangerette audition process. After leaving Kilgore, Ms. Thompson attended Stephen F. Austin State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography and a Minor in Theater. While attending SFA, she was a member of the dance department’s Repertory Dance Company and served and performed with Dancers Against Cancer. Ms. Thompson has been on staff with American Dance and Drill Team teaching and adjudicating for four years. She has choreographed all over the state of Texas as well as Utah and still travels to do so. Ms. Thompson was an NFL cheerleader with the Houston Texans for two seasons. She is excited to live yet another one of her dreams as the Klein Collins Tiger Belle Director.

Jordan Baird

This is Ms. Baird’s first year directing the Tiger Belles Dance Team. She was born in The Woodlands, but grew up in Magnolia, Texas where she graduated from The Magnolia High School and was the Colonel of the Texas Star Dance Team. Upon graduating in 2013, Ms. Baird was selected as one of the 36 lucky dancers to be a member of the 74th Line of the Kilgore College Rangerettes and had the privilege of being a Swingster. She then attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana where she was a part of the Dance and Theatre department, as well as a member of the Demon Dazzler Dance Line. Ms. Baird grew to miss Texas and made her way back to Sam Houston State University, where she then graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science with a concentration in Dance, Sociology and Mass Communications. Ms. Baird has been teaching dance since 2015 when she became a staff member for MA Dance and shortly after began her studio job at Extreme Performing Arts Center in Magnolia, Tx. Ms. Baird has worked for six years at Extreme and prides herself in her ability to build strong relationships with her students and create award winning Team and Ensemble choreography. Ms. Baird is also a free lance choreographer and technician and shares her passion and growing knowledge of dance with students all over the surrounding Houston area. She also loves spending time outside of teaching with her cat, Kain and binge watching new series on Netflix and Hulu. Ms. Baird is beyond excited to start her brand new adventure at Klein Collins High School as the Assistant Director of the Tiger Belles Dance Team.

Fun Fact: Ms. Baird and Ms. Thompson met at Rangerette pertaining in 2013 and were both members of the 74th line of Rangerettes together. Sharing that amazing experience and living out their dance dreams together was an incredible opportunity. They are so excited to be working side by side and directing the Tiger Belles together this season.
