We are very excited to announce that the Tiger Belles will be holding a stuffed animal/toy drive for the Pediatric Unit at St. Luke’s Hospital in The Woodlands. This toy drive will run from Tuesday, November 17 until Monday, December 14. The stuffed animals and toys for this community service project must be new to avoid any allergens/contaminations since they will be going to the Pediatric ICU. Toys can either be donated to be kept on the Pediatric Wing or they can go home with patients, depending on the patient’s health status. Toys that are kept on the Pediatric Wing must be cleanable to avoid the spread of germs/contamination. This is an optional community service project for the Tiger Belles, but we hope all of them are able to take part in collecting toys for those kids in need. We are placing a cap on the new toys that are purchased for this project. Please keep the price between $5 and $25. Toy ideas include: new stuffed animals, puzzles, arts and crafts (colors and coloring books), match box cars, barbie dolls, and family games (Candy Land, Apples to Apples, etc.). Please avoid toys that have small pieces that would be a choking hazard. If you have any questions about this community service project please contact Mrs. Williams.
