Directors

Director: Lauren Rodgers

Lauren is originally from Austin, Tx where she graduated from James Bowie High School and was a 3 year member of the Silver Stars. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and minored in Education.  While at Texas Tech she was an active member of many national honor organizations, student organizations, and her sorority. Lauren was a member of the University Dance Company where she was given the opportunity to work with Ailey II and Pilobolus professional dance companies. She was also a performer and choreographer for Vitality, a contemporary/jazz student dance company on campus. Lauren was asked to represent Texas Tech at American College Dance Festival in New Mexico and Louisiana during her first two years of college, and the following year her final piece was chosen to be performed among her professor’s choreography in the department’s major show, DanceTech: Artistry in Motion. Lauren also attended Dancewerks national convention in Chicago and was chosen as a ‘Top Performer’, scholarship recipient, and was given the opportunity to work with dancers from Gus Giordano’s professional jazz dance company. In their final season, Lauren worked on the set of Friday Night Lights, the NBC TV Show, as a cheerleader. She has choreographed for multiple teams across Texas and is a member of Texas Dance Educators Association. She is also a staff member of ShowMakers of America Dance/Drill Team Company. This is Ms. Rodgers’ 4th year at Klein Collins.directors

Assistant Director: Samantha Williams

Samantha is originally from Whitehouse, Texas where she graduated from Whitehouse High School and was a 3 year member of the First Ladies, including serving as a junior officer and head officer her senior year. After high school, she attended Kilgore College and was a member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes for 2 years.  While a Rangerette, Samantha was able to travel and perform at the Cotton Bowl, the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, and on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. During her time in Kilgore, Samantha also had the opportunity to work with many different choreographers for their annual spring show, Rangerette Revels. Samantha worked for Intensive Dance Company in Henderson, Texas while at Kilgore and worked with students ranging from age 7 to age 18. After attending Kilgore College, Samantha went to Texas A&M University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  While working on her teaching certification, she completed her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.  She is a member of Texas Dance Educators Association and is also a staff member of ShowMakers of America Dance/Drill Team Company. Samantha loves working with dancers and is so excited to return as the Assistant Director of the Klein Collins Tiger Belles. This is Samantha’s 3rd year at Klein Collins and 2nd year with the Tiger Belles.
